THE LFA GOVERNANCE


The Lebanse Franchise Association is a membership organisation governed by a Board of Directors appointed through nomination and election by the membership. The president is supported by an executive committee and board members that make recommendations for key elements of the association’s strategy and operations in terms of finance, quality standards, and external relations.

YAHYA KASSAA

President

Yahya Kassaa is the chief executive officer of Kassaa Group, a Holding company with presence throughout the EMEA region incorporating a network of companies operating in the Paints and Decorative Surfaces Industry. His dedication and belief in Lebanese expertise, synergy and added value led him to join the Lebanese Franchise Association where he served as a member of the Board of Directors, its General Secretary, and presently as its President.

ANTHONY MAALOUF

Vice President

Anthony is CEO of Casper & Gambini’s Worldwide and plays an active role at the LFA where he served as a board member before occupying the vice-president position. Anthony is also a Board Member of the Strategic Committee of Sagesse Hospitality Institute

NADA AAD

Treasurer

CEO of mon Maki a Moi, and Managing Partner of Moona. Nada Aad is an MBA graduate from the Lebanese American University and a passionate of cultural food heritage, a fascination she translated into her international Japanese franchise, Mon Maki à Moi, as well as in Moona, a brand dedicated to Lebanese Heritage Produce.

KARIM MEKNAS

General Secretary

Karim is the Managing Partner of Miknas Food SAL, the exclusive Developmental Licensee of McDonald’s in Lebanon. The valuable exposure to the development and operations of McDonald's provided Karim with invaluable insights in all matters pertaining to franchising; an experience and expertise that he brings with him to the Lebanese Franchise Association.

RAJI HUSSEINI

Board Member

Raji Ibrahim El Husseini has over 27 years of experience in the Insurance and Reinsurance Industry. He established Elite Insurance Consultants SAL in June 2004 with the mandate to provide professional insurance consultancy excellence to clients in Lebanon and abroad. As a Chairman and CEO, Mr. Husseini grew the company over the years to become one of the leading brokerage firms in Lebanon.

JOUMANA DAMOUS SALEME

Board Member

Managing partner of Hospitality Services sarl, an event management, and publishing company. Joumana is a also member of several bodies, notably the Lebanese Businessmen Association, and the Lebanese League for Women in Business. Furthermore, she serves as the vice president of the MEREF.

ALINE KAMAKIAN 

Board Member

Aline founded her own brokerage firm, IIC sarl, which focuses on corporate insurance. She also founded Mayrig, the first Armenian restaurant in Lebanon and developed Batchig, a concept offering Lebanese cuisine with a twist.

GHASSAN BOU HABIB

Board Member

Ghassan Bou Habib’s immense vision has transformed Wooden Bakery from a small local bakery into a market leader in the convenient bakery category.
Today he is the Vice Chairman of Wooden Bakery playing an active role in growing the brand’s franchise network locally, regionally and internationally.

RANEEM HALLAB

Board Member

M.I.S. graduate from Lebanese American University – Beirut, Marketing post-graduate from Concordia University - Montreal, PMI-PBA certified, and co-author in Journal of Business Research, Raneem is shareholder and strategic partner at Hallab 1881, as well as the founder of Krosswind Group – a management consulting company.

DOUMIT ZOUGHAIB

Founder of Zoughaib & Co, Doumit Zoughaib has been the creative drive and mind behind the House’s unique identity and stunning creations since 1987. Nurturing his outstanding flair with a great know-how, he ventured in the world of jewelry design with the ambitious aspirations of an artist and the will of an achiever. Doumit’s mature designs speak to every woman looking for elegance in simplicity, for distinction in style, for glamour in timelessness

Wael is the Chairman and CEO of TMG and its subsidiaries: Fizzle (ELC stores in Lebanon), Fizzle Trading (ELC stores in Jordan), Magic Tree (JouéClub stores Lebanon), Magic Tree Offshore (sub-franchisor of JouéClub in Qatar and the region), Toy Park – Toys 4 Less (Toys 4 Less stores in Lebanon) .

HUSSEIN BATAL

Board Member

Hussein El Batal is the Chairman and CEO of Batal Design Holding, the leading group operating in the furniture production, retail and wholesale industries.

Mr. Hussein’s professional journey with the family business began at an early age, making for 28 years of experience. His enthusiasm enabled him to achieve quantum leaps in the business, introducing novel concepts and diversifying the trade.
