King Food Receives Prestigious Social Economic Award

Beirut, Lebanon: King Food S.A.L., the BURGER KING® franchisee in Lebanon, has secured the award for Best Brand Image at the prestigious Social Economic Award 2011, instituted by global communications agency First Protocol to recognise outstanding achievement by organisations in the social and economic sphere.

The award caps a stellar year for King Food S.A.L. which saw the company consolidate its market position and expand its network to 20 BURGER KING® restaurants all over Lebanon.

“We are very honored to receive this award, which is a recognition of our quest for excellence and of our commitment to create value for our customers, employees and the communities we operate in,” said Bechara El Kallassi, Chairman of King Food S.A.L. “We would like to thank our management and staff for their continuous efforts in maintaining our high quality standards and in delivering a consistent customer experience, which has allowed us to build an unmatched reputation within the marketplace.”

The Social Economic Award 2011 aims to highlight the initiatives of social, economic, and professional institutions that were launched from a narrow arena and succeeded despite obstacles and difficulties, spreading its success to a larger environment. Chairman Bechara El Kallassi received the Best Brand Image award on behalf of King Food S.A.L. at a gala ceremony held last week at the Casino Du Liban, which brought together Lebanon’s social and business leaders.

The award is the latest addition to the King Food S.A.L. roll of honor. In November 2010, the company was honored with the Brand Leadership Award at the BURGER KING® Corporation Global Convention held in Florida, USA. King Food S.A.L. was one of only 16 BURGER KING® franchisees to be chosen for the prestigious award from more than 1,200 franchisees worldwide, and in the process became the first BURGER KING® franchisee from the Middle East to receive the honour.
